I can not believe that it is almost time for Christmas. I have always been told that the older you get the faster time goes. And I am finally starting to believe that. I wish that we could save time and slow it down. Chloe, Maximus, & Titus are growing in so many ways. Most days Chloe tries to run our house, she is so clever and so creative it absolutely impresses me. Maximus is my little enforcer. He has become my little book worm and just loves doing things that scare me (jumping off the couch, climbing up on tables, all the stuff he's not supposed to do.) But I love that he is completely fearless and is always looking to have fun. But these days the loudest, most vocal person in our family is Titus. I can already tell that he is going to be very opinionated and good at voicing it. He is all over the place and into everything, but he has already learned the meaning of "No" and is very good at listening.
These days we are really into crafts and singing/writing our own songs. Chloe and I turn Bible verses into songs and that makes it so much easier for her to memorize them. She now has 2 Bible verses memorized and she can write her own name. (She is only 2 1/2 years old).

Chloe and Maximus have discovered the candy canes on the Christmas tree. The other day I caught them stealing them off of the tree, breaking them, and eating them in Chloe's bed. (They were breaking them because I told them that we had to eat the broken ones because they couldn't hang on the tree. So breaking them was their way of justifying eating them.) So I hung the remaining candy canes close to the top of the tree; Chloe then tells me that I missed one, she said "Mommy, you need to put that one up high so me and Maximus don't eat it." I busted up laughing and just said thank you Chloe for helping me. The honesty of a child, you have to love it. I am very curious to see what Titus will add to those two. He is into mimicking our every sound. He copies our sounds pretty well and then laughs because he knows it is a pretty impressive skill.
Our life is so blessed.

I began keeping the twins two days a week. It is a little extra income for us as well as it helps Destiny a lot. I love having all 5 kids together. It is a lot of work and don't get a chance to sit down for those 2 days. But I would not have it any other way. I love the fact that the twins are in our environment and it will only enable a strong bond between the cousins. Brant and I have been working on Masters' Commission here at our church and getting the early development of it together. We are very excited about it and about what the Lord is going to do through it. The Lord has been so good to us and we are amazingly blessed.

Where does the time go?

I wish that I could freeze this part of my life and just live everyday without my children getting any older. Now trust me, I live in a constant state of tired. Having 3 children who are all very dependent on me can be wearisome. But I could not possibly love my life any more. Chloe, Maximus and Titus are such a joy. Every night we say our prayers with each child. It is our passion for our children to know the Lord and to serve Him ALL the days of their lives. So the other day I was laying the kids down for their naps and Chloe said "Mommy I want to pray over Maximus and Titus." I was so overwhelmed with joy because she saw the importance of praying for them. And she prayed for them all by herself (which is how she wants to do everything these days "all by myself, mommy!!") Maximus is now starting to talk pretty well, not in sentences yet, but he is saying so many words. He will be riding his little four wheeler through the house and say "Ma! Ma!" and once he has my attention he looks at me waves his arm (not his hand, his whole arm) and says "Bye!" And with a huge smile on his face he starts to ride away. Then there is sweet baby Titus who is laughing all the time. He will now sit in his jumper and twist himself all around to play with the toys. And he has definitely found his own voice in the midst of all the noise in our house. Financially, times are tough and the tightest they have ever been. However, our life is amazing.
It is awesome at how much children change not only your life, but everything that you are. You know that you will love your child, but until you feel that love you do not even begin to understand how amazing it is.
Brant and I are so blessed and we are so thankful that the Lord is doing amazing things in our life and through us. We are completely satisfied, because the Lord only brings satisfaction to us. Praise you Jesus!!

Family update

So these days it is pretty hard to blog. Mostly because I feel that there is so much to say and the more children you have the more that even increases. I also feel that everything said has to be even across the board. My little ones don't even know what this is, but somewhere inside there is still that voice that's wants to make sure that they each get equal time. Therefore, most of the time I just don't end up taking the time to blog. But here are little updates with each child:
Chloe-
She is definitely my helper and the bossy sister. The other day she had to get in trouble because she was trying to spank Maximus. And then when I got her attention and asked her about it she replied "Mommy, Maxi not listening to me." Then in that moment I realized that she, a female, is already complaining about males not listening to her. Ha! So it starts at such a young age. After that I then realized, she sees everything and copies everything we do. She has also gotten really good at pretending. Many times we hear her playing by herself and she has created a whole new scenario which includes drama, she also does sad and very happy voices. She may be called to the creative arts one day which will include drama. She is amazing!! The other day she came up to me and said "Mommy, you're my favorite girl! I love you so much!" I wanted to cry, it's an incredible feeling to hear your child say those things to you.

Maximus-
Max is learning to talk. He is twice as talkative and twice as loud as Chloe. So it makes for some interesting days and rides in the car. It must be a 2nd child thing, he wants to make sure his voice is heard. This child is in love with basketball. He really has some Howard blood in him. The boycan already shoot a ball into his hoop which stands higher than him. He definitely knows what he wants and how he wants it. Maximus is so lovable and very affectionate. He has a very magnetic personality, people are so drawn to him, the young and the old. My favorite thing that he is into right now is that he loves playing my piano. He doesn't just bang on it, he is a bit more meticulous about playing it. I always knew that I wanted Chloe to play, but it never occurred to me that he would be interested in it. But it would be a dream come true if he ends up having a passion for the piano. He already is a worshipper. We tell him to praise Jesus, and he looks up and raises both hands up. I love it!!

Titus-
What can I say about Titus?!?! He is absolutely precious and such a gentle spirit. He is an extremely happy and responsive baby. He is very laid back and easy-going. He almost has to be with Chloe & Maximus' strong personality. Titus is kind of spoiled by me, because I love holding him and cuddling with him. I don't care how many children we have, the baby stage never gets old. It is so special, and it only last for such a short short time. I try to take advantage of every moment with him and enjoy him so much. He is starting to play with his toys and smile and laugh. It is so wonderful having him a part of our family.

Well this is just a brief update. We are staying extremely busy, and not just with the kids. We are currently the nursery coordinators, working with the youth, I am on the Ladies ministry team, Brant plays softball, Brant goes to school full-time & works full-time (sort of), and we are currently in the process of laying some groundwork for a new ministry which will be started Fall 2010 called Masters' Commission. We are very involved in our church and are so excited about all the ministry opportunities that the Lord is giving us. We are very blessed that we get to serve the people of The Gate Church. God is so good to us and we are privileged that we have been chosen to bring forth His Kingdom.

I guess now I have officially made this too long. But as usual, I have a lot to say. This is just our life in a nutshell.

Titus

My sweet little Titus. Today he is 7 weeks and 3 days old. He weighs 13.5lbs Crazy!! He is a big boy for sure. But he is my skinny baby, my other two were chunky but not him. Brant and I kind of think that he may end up being built like my dad, at least that is what we are wanting. He has the most gentle spirit and is extremely easy going. Chloe is definitely the oldest and has the first born's characteristics, bossy, smart, talkative and outgoing. Maximus is my "Bam-bam". He is all boy, into everything, very curious and very smart. He is definitely my aggressive one, but is the most loving and affectionate. And then Titus is my sweet, down to earth very passive personality. He doesn't demand a whole lot of attention and is very observant. His smile is radiant. He has just the most adorable dimples and I just love staring at him. I am so glad that the Lord has given him to our family. He adds so much joy to our family.
